Obituary of John Congram

After a courageous fight against cancer John passed away peacefully in his sleep at St Joseph’s Hospice, London, Wednesday the 4th of November, 2020. John would have been 66 on the 12th of November, 2020. 

 

He is survived by daughter Kendall Carolina and her mother, Gloria Jean King, both of London and daughter Amanda Elena, and son Justin Harold (Kim), all of Alberta. Also survived by brother-in-law Doug VanderWoude of Wingham and his family, cousin Barb Congram of Kincardine, his cousins and life long friends in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and England, and his many coworkers at London Transit. Predeceased by his parents Harold (1970) and Isabel (2001) Congram, and sister Marilyn VanderWoude (2018). 

 

Visitation will take place at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Friday, November 6th, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Everyone wishing to attend the visitation must register online or by calling the funeral home at 519-357-1170. A private service will follow (invitation only) with John’s cousin Reverend Charles Congram officiating. Interment will take place at Wingham Cemetery. 

 

Memorial donations to London Regional Cancer Centre (through London Health Sciences Centre Foundation) or St. Joseph’s Hospice would be appreciated.
