Dear Ian and Beth,
My older brother informed me of your message concerning your Mother's passing.
We first met your Mother I believe in 1966 or '67, on a trip to the U.K.. I believe she was our second cousin. Later we met your Father and her when we came to Canada in 1971. I know Jim passed in 1978. I remember the holiday when you both came with your Mother to the Maritimes in 1984. We had some real fun times in those few days.
I am sorry for your loss. She was a great lady.
Kind regards - Peter & Jo-Ann Hopkins

Dear Ian, Beth and family,
Your mother was so filled with God’s love and the strength of the Holy Spirit that it spilled over into everything she did. She is truly unforgettable. Although you mourn her loss I pray that you will also celebrate her life of giving, sharing, loving and being someone so truly special in this world.

I met Eleanor at New Horizons and she always greeted me with a big smile. I was edified at her helpfulness in all situations. The Lord gave, the Lord took her away, but not from our hearts and memories. I pray for her family and friends mourning her passing and pray for her Eternal repose in the Lord. May she rest in Peace, Sr. Victoria (Anna Babey's sister)

I met your dear Mother and friend while visiting mine on the Oasis at New Horizons in recent years. She stood out because of her sweet and loving disposition towards her floor mates, and I know her caring put my Mom more at ease in her new home. Eleanor took the lead during activities and made sure that all were included. Even when she was suffering, she put others before herself. I am happy that I met Eleanor and look forward to more time with her in Eternity! Sorry for your loss everyone and may you be comforted in your mourning. You are in my prayers and God bless.

Dear Ian and Beth,
I am saddened to hear of the passing of your Mother. She was a great lady. Always friendly, warm, caring, and kind. I remember her from both Sunday School and School. I will always have fond memories of her. She will definitely be missed. I am always shocked when I check in here and see the people who have had a great impact on my life and their community, have passed away. It never gets any easier.
Sincerely,
Linda Hollinger

Our love and prayers Ian and Beth and families,
Eleanor was such a dear and loyal friend. We have wonderful memories of chats in our kitchen, walks in the park, trips to Pioneer Women's camp, downhill skiing adventures, camping experiences, Tuesday night Bible studies, and prayer times together. The Lord truly was her Shepherd. She had high energy and was not afraid to try new things. It was easy to see the love of Jesus overflow into her life.
Our love, Gary and Maureen Lisle

I still remember the strawberry jam she created for me. My 1st diabetic jam. Made because she wanted me to enjoy the berries Beth, herself and I had picked. I have never enjoyed berry picking as much as that day and jam has never been as good. Wonderful lady.

Ian, Beth and families: I have many wonderful memories of your family over the years. From you Dad as recreation director to your Mom working at Wingham Public and of course remembering you two in elementary school. Your Mother was a wonderful "school Mom" so helpful in so many ways. Her life was a true example of Christianity in all she did and now may she rest in peace having had a life so well lived. My thoughts are with you as I reminisce about the Wards time in our community.
Sincere sympathy..Barb Nicholson

Ian, Beth and families...mom mentioned about you reaching out of the passing of your mom. I am so sorry to hear this news, although I know she is in a divine place, of which she knew she'd arrive in time. My mom and I had a great visit with your mom a few years back, they shared some laughs, memories, went for a beautiful walk and sang a song or 2. A good friend, I know my mom will surely miss. Take care in these times of grief and peace be with you all. Cherish the wonderful memories of your mom and family.
