Obituary of Elgin Johnston

At Wingham & District Hospital on Friday, August 31, 2018, Mr. Elgin Johnston of R.R. # 2, Wingham, at the age of 103.

Beloved husband of the former Mae Shortreed who predeceased him in 2011. Dear father of Robert Johnston of R.R. # 2, Wingham and Graeme & Diane Johnston of Stratford. Loving grandfather of Holly Johnston and Cole Johnston both of Stratford. Predeceased by his parents Robert & Margaret (Robinson) Johnston, sisters Eileen Johnston and Alba Tanner and her husband Harvey and brother Lytle Johnston.

Visitation will be held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Monday from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00- 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at McBurney Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday at 1:00 pm. Reverend Carel Grundlingh officiating. Interment will take place in Wingham Cemetery.

Memorial donations to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church or a charity of choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
