Obituary of Ivan Metcalfe

Surrounded with love by his family, at his residence on Wednesday, February 21st, 2018, Ivan Metcalfe of Listowel and formerly of Wingham in his 64th year was peacefully called home after a twelve-and-a-half-year battle with cancer.

Cherished husband of Debbie (Kernaghan) Metcalfe of Listowel. Loving father of Alysha & Dennis Lubbers and Ashley & Allan Hellyer. Biggest fan and adored papa of Jaxsen, Kylee, Adelyn and Lylah. Dear brother of Harold Metcalfe & Nancy Good, Anna Mae Congram, Evelyn & Bob Leachman, Linda Stroeder & Dean Aitchison, David & Tilly Metcalfe, Bill Metcalfe, Joanne Gallaway and Trish Casserly. Brother-in-law of Don & Barb Kernaghan. Son-in-law of Liz Balser. Lovingly remembered by the Balser family and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Herman & Eleanor (McKay) Metcalfe, granddaughter Maisie Ivy Clare Hellyer, brother Bob Metcalfe, brother-in-law Goldie Gallaway, father-in-law Rae Kernaghan, step-father-in-law Lev Balser and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, on Friday, February 23rd,  from 1:00-4:00 pm.  A Celebration of Ivan's Life will be held at Crosshill Mennonite Church (2537 Hutchison Rd., Millbank) on Saturday, February 24th, at 11:00 am.  Pastor Julie Ellison White officiating. Final resting place, Wingham Cemetery.
