Obituary of Dorene Cerson

At Braemar, Wingham, on Monday, July 17, 2017, Mrs. Dorene Cerson of  Wingham,  age  89 years. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Cerson who predeceased her in 2009. Cherished mother of Larry & Marie Cerson (Dr.Gear), and Linda & Dale Edgar all of Wingham. Also survived by her special nephew Paul & Nancy Cerson of Orangeville and cousin Roy Comrie of Toronto. Loving grandmother of Christine Hanley, Douglas & Minda Cerson, Roxanne & Mitch Wright, Jake Edgar & Melissa Waller, Shannon & Geoff Wendorf, Tyler & Jennifer, Courtney and Hillary Cerson.  Great-grandmother of Cody Hanley, Samantha Hanley & Shawn Pavao, Mackenzie Hanley, Logan Cerson, Matthew Pocsai, Brooklyn and Julia Wright, Hanna and Whitney Wendorf, Carmen and Archer Edgar and Sadie Cerson. Great-great-grandmother of Makenna Christine Hanley Pavao. Sister of Joan Doyle and Cecil Clay. Sister-in-law of Donald & Eleanor Cerson and Karen Pugmire. Predeceased by her parents Jack & Mary Clay, siblings Irene Davis, Gord Clay, John Clay, Violet McLaren, Phyllis Stringer, Norman Clay and her parents-in-law Calvin Cerson, Catherine Cerson-Griffin and Robert Griffin.

Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home Ltd., Wingham, Ontario on Wednesday, from 7:00-9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 11:00 am.  Reverend Jeff Hawkins officiating. Interment will take place in Culross-Teeswater Cemetery, Teeswater.
