Obituary of George Christopher Michie

At Braemar Retirement Centre, on Friday, January 25, 2008, Mr. George Michie of Wingham, age 92 years. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Beattie (1976) and the late Doris (Brown) MacLennan (2005). Dear father of Ruth and James Baker of London and Lloyd and Nancy Michie of R.R. # 4, Brussels. Brother of Barbara and Ross Anderson of Belgrave. Also survived by grandchildren, Mark and Angie, Chris and Colleen, Steven and Heather, Lindsay and Kevin and eight great-grandchildren, Doris's family Sandra and Gilbert Tourigny, Brenda and Don Whitfield and Norman and Cathy MacLennan. Predeceased by his parents James and Jeanie (Cole) Michie. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, Ontario on Sunday, from 1:30 - 4:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at Knox United Church, Belgrave on Monday at 1:30 pm. Reverend Wayne B. Beamer officiating. Interment in Brussels Cemetery, Morris Township. Memorial donations to Wingham and District Hospital Foundation or a charity of choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
