Obituary of Arthur William Stone

At Caressant Care, Listowel on Thursday, September 24, 2009, Mr. Art Stone, of Wingham age 94 years. Beloved husband of the late Lillian Baker who predeceased him in 1982. Dear father of Dorothy Stone of Listowel, Geraldean and Tony Carter of Surrey, BC., Betty Lee of Wingham, Ruth Gowing of Listowel, Judy Hickey of Wingham, Jackie Wettlaufer and Bill Lambert of Kitchener and Bill and Suzanne Stone of Delta BC. Lovingly remembered by twenty-five grandchildren, sixty-six great-grandchildren and thirty seven great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents John and Elizabeth (Ames) Stone, his daughter Mary Johnstone, brother Richard Stone, sister Elsie Kennedy, sons-in-law Fred Lee, Milford Gowing, Wayne Johnstone, Emerson Hickey, two granddaughters and two grandsons. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, Ontario on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Monday at 1:00 pm. Majors Archie and Marie Simmonds officiating. Interment in Wingham Cemetery, Wingham, Ontario.
