Obituary of Robert James Soloman

At Braemar Retirement Centre, on Monday, February 09, 2009, Mr. Robert Soloman of Wingham, age 88 years. Beloved husband of the former Leola Clayton. Dear father of Beverley Storey of Kincardine, Catharine and Bill Wilken of Kurtzville, Brenda Malcolm of Kitchener, Ron and Mary-Jean Soloman of Drayton and Scott Soloman of Wingham. Brother of Tom Soloman of Cambridge, Mary and Les Marshall of Oakville, Rita Butcher of Cambridge and Irene Soloman of Trenton. Lovingly remembered by thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Henry and Emeline (Hunter) Soloman, his son Bradley in 1971, his granddaughter Cynthia in 2001, brothers George, Irwin, Willard and Melley and by sisters Esther and Annie. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, Ontario on Wednesday, 7:00-9:00 pm. Royal Canadian Legion services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 1:30 pm. Pastor Elly Dow officiating. Interment in Wingham Cemetery, Wingham, Ontario. Memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Royal Canadian Legion would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
