Obituary of Amos Eldred Smith

At Huronlea, on Tuesday, January 13, 2009, Amos Smith of Brussels, formerly of Wingham age 89 years. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn (Brown) Smith who predeceased him 1992. Step-father of John and Joanne Mitchell of Fergus and Bob Mitchell of Goderich. Brother of Greta and Lavern Hoegy of R.R. #1 Dublin. Grandfather of Kurtis and Amy Mitchell of Fergus. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Lillian Green and Lyla Smith, his brother Ormal Smith and his step-son George Mitchell. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, Ontario on Friday, from 700-9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 2:00 pm. Reverend Wayne Beamer officiating. Interment in Brussels Cemetery, Morris Township. Memorial donations to Wingham Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
