Obituary of Robert Lloyd Thompson

At London Health Sciences Centre, on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, Mr. Bert Thompson of Wingham, age 75 years. Beloved husband of the former Isobel McDonald of Turnberry Estates, Wingham. Dear father of James Thompson of Edmonton, Robert Thompson of Teeswater, Ralph and Evelyn Thompson of R.R. # 2, Owen Sound, Carol and Jim Bailey of Wingham and Cheryl and Barry Burchill of Belgrave. Also survived by fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Brother of Audrey Fowler of Port Severn, Harvey Thompson of R.R. # 2, Holyrood, Shirley Davis of Mississauga, Marjorie Leaske of Mount Forest and Barbara Baker of Kitchener. Predeceased by his parents James and Mary (Reid) Thompson, his son Eldon and daughter-in-law Kathy. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, Ontario on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 2:00 pm. Reverend Bernard Skelding officiating. Interment in Culross-Teeswater Cemetery, Culross Township. Memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
