Obituary of Norma Strong

Passed away peacefully at the Freeport Health Centre (Grand River Hospital) Kitchener on Friday, May 28, 2010, Mrs. Norma Jeanne Strong, age 87 years. Beloved wife of the late Jack (John) Strong who predeceased her in 1997.Dear mother of Sandra and Jim Campbell of Cambridge, John and Marg Strong of Waterloo, Paul Strong and friend Nancy Howard of London, Fraser and Louise Strong of Mississauga, Marilyn and Lloyd Flaro of St. Albert, Alberta, Bill and Crystal Strong of Kitchener, Karin Seer of London, and Jamie Strong and friend Kim Harvey of Port Elgin. Lovingly remembered by her twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren. Predeceased by her son Terrance (1943), her great grandson, Dahrien Scharschmidt, and her three sisters and two brothers. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham Ontario on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary Service will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 4:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Monday, May 31 at 11:00 am with her nephew Reverend Phillip Uptgrove officiating. Internment in the Wingham Cemetery, Wingham, Ontario. Memorial donations to The Grand River Hospital Cancer Clinic, Kitchener or the Ladies Auxiliary, Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 180, Wingham would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
