Obituary of John W. McBurney

At Fordwich Village Nursing Home, Fordwich on Saturday, July 31, 2010, Jack McBurney of R.R. # 2. Wingham, age 90 years. Beloved husband of Olive (Grant) McBurney. Father of Brian and Brenda McBurney of Wroxeter, Doug and Jackie McBurney of Wingham, and Jim and Marlene McBurney of R.R. # 1, Wingham. Grandfather of Shannon and Peter Holland, and Jackie and Ryan Sanders, all of Wroxeter, Adam McBurney of St. Thomas, Aaron McBurney and fiancée Rachel McKenna of Hamilton, and Andrew McBurney of Wingham. Great-grandfather of Connor and Kaden Holland, and Paige and Tayt Sanders. Brother of Jean Stokes of Belmore, and brother-in-law of Shirley and Mervin McAllister of Wingham. Predeceased by his parents James and Margaret (Chandler) McBurney and by brothers-in-law Stewart Grant and John Stokes. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, Ontario on Wednesday, 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 11:00 am. Reverend Jeff Hawkins officiating. Interment in Wroxeter Cemetery, Howick Township. Memorial donations to Wingham and District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
