Obituary of Verna Elizabeth Currie

At her residence on Tuesday, August 03, 2010, Mrs. Verna Currie of Wingham, age 88 years. The former Verna Thompson, beloved wife of the late Ken Currie who predeceased her in 2003. Dear mother of Helen Currie of London, Grant and Debbie Currie of Wingham, and Joan and Dave Black of R. R. # 1, Lucknow. Grandmother of Tim Currie, Amy and Ryan Pletch, and Nigel and Hamish Black. Great-grandmother of Dawson and Preston Currie, Trenton and Halley Pletch. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Herbert and Lizzie (Todd) Thompson. Private funeral service will be held at the the funeral home chapel on Friday. Reverend Peggy Kinsman officiating. Interment in Wingham Cemetery, Wingham, Ontario. Memorial donations to Town and Country Support Services, Wingham would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
