Obituary of Sarah Jean Irwin

Peacefully at Braemar Nursing Home on Sunday, February 25, 2024, Sadie Irwin formerly of Lucknow and Goderich, passed away at the age of 103.

Beloved wife of the late William John “Jack” Irwin. Cherished mother of Jean Thompson of Wingham, Nancy & Paul Fox of London and Mel Irwin of Goderich. Sadie will be missed by her grandchildren Bonnie & Jim Hamilton, Wayne Thompson, Michael Thompson, Roowan Fox-Johnston & Sam Johnston, John & Megan Fox, Mac Irwin, Mathew Irwin and the late Jennifer Irwin and William Irwin and their families. Predeceased by her parents Angus & Ethel Annie (Culbert) Nicholson, son William John Irwin Jr., son-in-law Ronnie Thompson, granddaughter Catherine Monty and siblings Archie, Rena, Ethel, Rae, Mary, Angus, Mabel, John, Chester and Samuel.  

Funeral service will be held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Colin Snyder officiating. Interment will take place in the spring at the Greenhill Cemetery, Lucknow. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Braemar Resident Council would be appreciated.
