To the MacIntyre family - Please accept our sincere sympathy as you go throught this difficult time of loss. Grant was a wonderful man. We moved to Wingham in 1980 and the bakeshop became a place we visited on a regular basis. Ross would go to the bakery early in the morning before I went to work at 7 and go in the back door to get some of their delicious, warm rolls off the rack. He would have a chat and visit with Grant and Marie and then head home to make lunches for the girls. It became a weekly ritual. Grant and Marie were such friendly, lovely people. Hoping all the memories shared by others will bring you comfort at this sad time...

Grant and Marie were such a big part of our early years in Wingham and the town will be a lesser place with Grant's passing. The stories that will be told for years to come will be their legacy but many of the little things they did to make Wingham a better place will never come to light and that is a shame. Thanks for sharing them with us. You have our sympathy but we know you will smile every time someone tells you how wonderful they were.

Sending my condolences to all of Grant’s family, he will be dearly missed.
So many fond memories of MacIntyre’s bakery. No one ever went into the bakery without a little visit with Marie, then Grant would come out of the back in his baking outfit just to say hello. I rarely eat a donut today and I always say it is b/c I grew up with MacIntryes’ honey dipped donuts and no one makes a donut like they did, their cream puffs were just as good as their donuts!
Grant will be missed driving down the street in his iconic car, always with a friendly waive.
Thanks for the memories
Susan (Currie) Wright

And i just wanted to add to Larry’s words, i remember arriving in Wingham as a young doctor and having to work Christmases and Grant always cooked our Christmas turkey for me (to perfection). Not to mention the many dozens and dozens of doughnuts that he made and hand delivered to Wingham and District Hospital (for any occasion!!!!) Marie Gear/Larry Cerson
