Sharon, Murray,Carey, Margaret and families...
We were saddened to hear of George' s passing, but also very cognizant of the relief that the battle is over. I had the opportunity to work with George at Western / Wescast for over 30 years. And it was privilege to follow his leadership and learn from his knowledge of the business and people. I was elated and honoured to be "Master of Ceremonies" for his Retirement celebration - again he was such a positive influence on the Company. But just being a business leader was not enough for George. His vision of the Junior hockey in Wingham provided him another avenue to demonstrate his commitment to the young men he coached and in the Community he lived.
Wingham has lost a pillar of the Community, but Georges' impact on so many people has left the town with an even stronger foundation.

SHARON and all family members :
I ( Ray.) got to know George and family members through Donna ( my dental assistant ) when we first moved to Wingham in
1971 . Shortly thereafter Sharon helped me learn the ropes in the OR for dental surgery
As the years passed , Sharon and George brought their family members to me (and , I’m certain , a number of George’s
siblings to my practice ) .
George was a patient I could always count on to brighten my day….. his smile , his easy going manner .
We were able to share stories of sports and family …. a great guy .

George was a real leader on the whitechurch ball club. He was a tremendous leader behind the plate. Then went and brought that leadership to the Ironman.

George has indeed won the battle. Too many memories to list here although a dog named Manifold comes to mind as well as a wedding anniversary party during the Blue Jays World Series win.
