Obituary of Edith Walker

Peacefully at Woodstock Hospital on Monday, July 24^th, 2023, Edith Pearl (Cook) Walker of Woodstock and formerly of Wingham and Goderich, passed away in her 95^th year.

Beloved wife of S.J. “Jack” Walker who predeceased her on January 17^th, 2019. They were married December 10^th, 1947 in Belgrave. Loving mother of Pat Stewart (Greg) of Phoenix, Arizona, and David Walker (Stella) of Woodstock. Dear grammy of Carley & Tim Welch, Scott Stewart, Amanda Height all of Arizona, Jennifer & Jason Church, Adam Walker (K. Leigh) all of Woodstock. Special great-grammy of eight.

Predeceased by parents Frederick & Etta (Black) Cook, brothers Harvey Cook (Grace), and Albert Cook (Jean), sisters Margaret Robinson (Ross), Zella Crawford (Ernie), and Alice Nicholson (Garner), parents-in-law Russel & Agnes (Stonehouse) Walker, and sister-in-law Dawna Sproule (Bob).

Visitation will be held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham (formerly S.J. Walker Funeral Home) on Wednesday, July 26^th, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. & 6:00-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, July 27^th, at 11:00 a.m. The funeral will be live-streamed, click here to view the service. Interment will take place in Wingham Cemetery. Reception will follow at the Wingham United Church.
