Obituary of Leslie Jacklin

At Braemar Nursing Home on Thursday, July 14, 2022, Leslie Jacklin of Wingham, passed away at the age of 88.

Devoted husband of the late Mabel (Sanburn) Jacklin who predeceased him in 2018. Loving dad of Liz & Ken Cowan of South Surrey, B.C. and Rick & Vicki Jacklin of Belmore. Cherished grandpa of Sarah & Bob Boertien, Matthew Cowan, Melissa Cowan, Jarryd Jacklin & Meagan Chamney, Jamael & Courtney Jacklin and Jordan & Jen Jacklin and great-grandpa of Zack, Hannah, Vada, Jadyn, Keeton, Ryland, Presley, Julia, Colton, Barrett and Boyd. Dear brother of Leonard & Ully Jacklin, Don Jacklin, and Glen Jacklin and brother-in-law of Isabelle Hislop, Mae Thorpe and Edith Quipp. Les will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Richard & Margaret (Goll) Jacklin, son Reuben Jacklin (2002), parents-in-law Meldrum & Viola Sanburn, brother Ken Jacklin (Betty), sisters Mary Craig (John) and Joyce O’Connell and brothers-in-law Charles and Jack Sanburn (Donna), George Hislop, Harry Thorpe, Harold Quipp, and Eric O'Connell.

A private burial of ashes will take place on Tuesday, September 20th, 2022 at the Wingham Cemetery followed by casual visitation at the Wingham Knights of Columbus Centre from 2:00-4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to charity of choice would be appreciated.
