I remember Aunt Jane's smile, her laugh and the way she said my name with her beautiful deep voice. Even though we did not see each other a lot, when we did have time together she always made the effort to come alongside and ask me about what was happening in my life. I always appreciated that so much! Sending heartfelt condolences to Irene and Ken and each of their families.

Aunt Jane was always a fashionable dresser with her cute tops and leather skirts. She was a good baker too and I always enjoyed her blueberry pies at family reunions. She loved laughing with (or at?) her siblings…I remember she thought it was hilarious when we surprised my Dad (Carl) at his birthday one year.
Praying and thinking of all of aunt Jane’s family and friends. Sending love to my cousins Ken and Irene especially (and their spouses, children and grand children)
Love, Aunt Jane’s niece - Lydia, Mike, Tyler and Christopher

I am Jane's youngest sister and the youngest of the de Boer family. I have many happy memories of great times together and at our annual family reunions. Jane always brought delicious pies and sweet treats which we all consumed very happily. After some major surgeries because of her arthritis, she never let it keep her down, she kept going on even stronger then before. She was a hard working lady. I am blessed to have had her as my sister. I will miss her dearly. She truly testified of her faith in Jesus Christ. My love and deep condolences to Ken and Irene and their families. Safe in the arms of Jesus, there will my soul find rest.

Jane was my younger sister but only by 11 months. Growing up, in our elementary school in Holland I was one of the smaller boys who sometimes got picked on by the bigger boys. One day, Jane and I were walking home together and one of the bigger boys tried to beat me up. Jane took off her wooden shoe and said, "Don't touch my brother!!" and he ran off. She wasn't afraid to protect me.
We loved to sing together around the small organ in our house. She loved singing "Safe in the arms of Jesus". We played games together and had lots of fun. Since we were the oldest two, we had to do chores like wash the dishes and clean up.
When I join her someday in heaven, Jane doesn't need to defend me anymore. We will be safe with Jesus.
Jane's oldest brother, Carl

Have so many memories of aunt Jane… she was the calm, collected and cool aunt (along with uncle Keith)!! My Dad was the serious one, uncle Jake the Superman (including the bod), aunt Carol the jolly one and aunt Sue the friendly one… though all loving and caring. One memory of aunt Jane (which I maybe shouldn’t write here) was when Jamie and I accidentally opened an unlocked bathroom door on her and got chewed out!!
Praying that the peace of God and the memories of love shared will comfort the family now and in the days ahead.
