Obituary of Edna Mae Markham

At Wingham & District Hospital, on Thursday, April 10, 2014, Edna Mae Markham, formerly of Stratford, age 84 years. Beloved wife of the late A.J. (Jack) Markham. Dear mother of Brian and Karen Markham of Huntsville, Drew and Linda Markham of Calgary and Susan and John Underwood of R.R.# 1, Wingham. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Stephen & Melissa of Whitby, David & Meghan of Georgetown, Liane & Tommy, Tara, and Taylor all of Calgary and Maitland, Matthew, Ben and Alison all of R.R.#1, Wingham. Great-grandmother of Caitlin, Sophia, Layla and Luca. Sister of Annabelle Armstrong of Wingham. Aunt to Debby Armstrong Emerson of Kentucky and Daniel Armstrong of Costa Rica. Predeceased by her parents John and Gladys (Young) Oakes. Edna Mae was a founding member of the Stratford Inner Wheel and a Paul Harris Fellow. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home Ltd., Wingham, Ontario on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Sunday at 4:00 pm. Reverend Richard D. Hall officiating. Memorial donations to One Care Home & Community Support Service or Hospice Huntsville would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
