John,Lidia and I were so sorry to hear of your passing from Judy. I regret very much not having the opportunity to come and see you and Judy to say a last good bye. Although I met you later in life I could tell you were a very good man who went out of his way to serve country and community. I did not realize you and Judy had been married for 61 years. So happy you had the opportunity to spend all that time with the love of your life. Judy I was so sorry to hear of your loss. My heart sank when you called as I knew what it probably meant. Lidia and I were very lucky to have met you both. We were very grateful to have spent that wonderful diner with you and John. Judy you are in Lidia and my thoughts! Judy, Brenda and Michael, You have lost a loving husband and father and I send you and your family my deepest sympathy. I have lost a childhood friend. The memories of winter days spent playing pond hockey in our neighbourhood in Niagara Falls are happy ones. Later our meetings were few and far between but telephone calls, car purchases and Oldtimer's hockey tournaments kept us in-touch through the years that followed. Sorry to hear about John.
We were fortunate to meet the Cullen family when they first arrived in Wingham. John called me to drive new cars back from Oshawa? John also loved his hockey and he had a knack for putting the puck in the net. We were fortunate to be there when he gave his daughter away and again when his grand daughter was married in Jamaica. We enjoyed a great feast at his place during last Wingham Old Boys. He was a proud man who will be missed by all who knew him.
