Obituary of Lorraine (Steuernol) Masse

At Alexandra & Marine General Hospital on Saturday, October 23rd, 2021, the former Lorraine Steuernol of Goderich and formerly of Gorrie, passed away at the age of 90.

Devoted mom of Debbie & Mark Ireland of Teeswater, Susie & Marvin McLean of Wroxeter, and Nancy & Brian Goetz of Wroxeter. Cherished grandma of Jenny & Bill McGrath, Dennis & Trisha McLean, Jason & Jane Anne Ireland, Jodie & Geoff Tummers, Adam & Julie Ireland, Josh & Marjan Ireland, Cody & Ashley Goetz and Jesse Goetz. Loving great-grandma of Jessica, Justin, Jasmine, Janessa, Zackery, Brycen, Cameron, Mac, Elyse, Joel, Tyson, Emily, Andrew, Austin, Connor, Nash, Jenna, Emmett and Veronica and great-great-grandma of Melody & Arnen.  Sister-in-law of Bob & Ardell, Mary and Joyce Steuernol. Lorraine will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, large extended family and friends. Predeceased by her parents George & Astella (Bell) Hall, her first husband Archie Steuernol (1992), second husband Donald Masse (2016), sisters Helen Scott (Danny) and Betty MacDonald (Alex), brothers Willis (Ida), Johnny and Melvin Hall, great-grandchildren Jordan Marie Ireland and Cole Tummers both in infancy, brothers-in-law Mac Steuernol (Beryl), Bert Steuernol, John Steuernol and sisters-in-law Wyn Howes (Jim), Ruby Howes (Les) and Jean Wilton (Wallace).

A private family service will be held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Friday, October 29th, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. A live-stream of the service will be availble. Please click here to view. A celebration of Lorraine’s life will be held at the Wingham Knights of Columbus Centre on Friday, October 29^th, 2021 beginning at 2:30 p.m. Proof of vaccination and ID will be required prior to entry.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Huron County Food Bank or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
