Dear John, Chris, Robin and Mark
Thinking of you and sending my sympathies at this sad time. I have been recalling many memories these last few days of Sonny and time spent together in Thunder Bay. I was a young twenty something at University when I met Sonny at LU and so grateful to have been introduced and become friends with her and her “guys”. There were literally weekends spent in your home, meals, music, conversation. I valued her wisdom and in many ways her mentorship as a wiser, a little older than I, friend and women at that time in my life. Sonny was incredibly generous and kind and fierce on social justice, family, traditions and I was so fortunate to have had her as a friend.
