Obituary of Lois Chamney
At Braemar Nursing Home on Sunday, August 8th, 2021, Lois (Webster) Chamney of Wingham and formerly Belgrave, passed away peacefully at the age of 94.
Beloved wife of the late Stuart Chamney who predeceased her in 2017. Cherished mom of Diane Bridge of Port Elgin, Donna & Jim Muir of Bayfield, Barb & Kevin Pletch of Point Clark, Joyce Bloschinsky of London, and Steve & Joan Chamney of Lucknow. Loving grandma of fourteen grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren. Dear sister-in-law of Gordon "Bud" Chamney of Auburn. Predeceased by her parents William & Edna (Taylor) Webster, son-in-law Warren Bridge (2017), siblings Jean & Cliff Henderson and George & Greta Webster and Stuart's siblings Elwyn, Herman and Graham Chamney and Verna Doerr.
Visitation will take place at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Wednesday, August 11th, 2021 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Those wishing to attend must schedule a time through our website. (Scroll down to view available time slots.)
A private funeral service for immediate family only will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, August 12th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Please do not attend, a live-stream of the funeral will be available so you can watch safely from your home. Interment will take place at Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave. The public are welcome to join the family at the graveside or the Knights of Columbus Hall in Wingham for a time of refreshments and socializing.
