Obituary of Audrey O’Krafka
At Huronlea, Brussels on Monday, August 2nd, 2021, Audrey (Hastie) O'Krafka formerly of Bluevale, passed away at the age of 89.
Beloved wife of the late Tom O'Krafka who predeceased her on March 4th, 2020. Loving mom of Barry O'Krafka of Belgrave. Devoted grandma of Zack & Stephanie of Meaford and their daughters Alanna and Paige and son Liam, and Xav & Alex of Toronto and son Parker. Audrey was eagerly awaiting the arrival of a fifth great-grandchild. She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by parents Harry & Ruby (Cathers) Hastie, parents-in-law Claus & Rebecca O'Krafka, sisters Evelyn Johnson and her husband Errol, Lolo Mann and her husband Ross, brother-in-law Edward O'Krafka and sister-in-law Marie Irwin and her husband Don.
Audrey was a familiar and friendly face within her community, and her warm, kind-hearted, and caring nature made her a great friend to many. As an avid sports fan, Audrey found joy in supporting minor sports by cheering on the local kids at the baseball diamond, rugby field and lacrosse and hockey arenas. You knew good things were happening when everyone’s favourite sports Grandma was proudly tooting her air horn from the stands. Audrey was genuine and generous, and always kept a positive spirit even when facing life’s challenges. She will be greatly missed.
A private memorial to celebrate both Audrey and Tom’s lives will be held at a later date. Final resting place, Wroxeter Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to an athletic association of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
