To the Gear Family
I am so sorry to hear that Warren has passed.
I worked with Warren for a few years when he worked at Farm Credit Canada. He was excellent to work with and it was clear that Warren had a passion for working with horses. I enjoyed that may horse stories he would share. After he left Farm Credit Canada we would touch base on occasion but time, distance and "life" made the contacts fewer and fewer.
Horse heaven has a new trainer and a very good one.

My condolences to all of Warren's family. I remember when I was a little girl, going to visit Aunt Jean and Uncle John's farm with my parents Elsie and Lyman Jardin, and Warren took me for a ride on his horse, Dancer, down to the Maitland River and we had a swim! I'll never forget that day as, being a city kid, it meant the world to me to ride a horse and visit the farm. Thank you, Warren, for being so kind to me when my family were visiting. Love, Kathy Jardin Boxall

Farewell dear friend! I have many fond memories of our times together. From the day we met on Dover Street in 1953 as we made our way to kindergarten at Elizabeth Ziegler School until our last in person visit in Clinton before Covid struck, you have been an important part of my life.
Interesting too that you sat behind Mary Lou, my wife of 48 years, in Grade 8 at MacGregor Senior Public School in Waterloo. Because you went to KCI and U of Guelph and we attended WCI and WLU, it wasn't until we all started working that the 3 of us connected.
We fondly remember your visits to our home as well as our visits to Toronto, the farm and Anna Mae's. Whenever we got together, it was as if we had never been apart.
Our sincerest condolences to all of your family who will miss you tremendously.
À bientôt........Milne (and Mary Lou)

Dear Warren,
My heart is very sad. I am so glad to have known you and cherish everything you have taught me over the past few years. You were like a part of our family and I enjoyed all of the time I spent with you on all of our adventures to the plowing matches, threshers, the Royal, checking out all of the horse farms you enjoyed going to, our bobcat rides around your farm and back to the cabin, and most of all our chats. Wyatt liked practicing his French with you, and you encouraged Courtney, Kalan and Wyatt to be better riders. I will miss you so much and hope you are galloping in heaven. And hope there are no tomatoes. My condolences to Marie, Marilyn, Maurice, Phillipe, Andre, Aimee, and his best friend and Cousin Doug. Miss you, love Joyce

Our hearts are saddened with the passing of Warren and send our sincere condolences to all the family.
I share my memories of many fun times with music and laughter at our get-togetherness with family and cousins on the farms. I also enjoyed many interesting chats with Warren about horses (one of my loves), and the many stories about his world travels.
He visited our daughter Shannon and family several times in Alberta, also sharing their mutual love of horses.
May we all remember and cherish the fond memories! “We miss you Warren, Rest In Peace”.

I was so sorry to hear of Warren's passing. We had many conversations about horses and I was honored that he trusted me with two of them. Screech was the first horse Warren ever left with me and I used him to fox hunt and even took him in a steeplechase. I will always picture Warren riding Screech on a fox hunt with me one of the last times Screech hunted. Warren donated him to the junior three day event team shortly after that.
My prayers to Warrens family

We were saddened to hear of Warren’s passing, and send sincere condolences to all of the family. Warren was a distant cousin who spent weekends and summers at his family farm, about a mile down the road from ours. He was two years ahead of me at the University of Guelph, and would sometimes give me rides back to Kitchener on Sunday nights. One of my favourite (or not so favourite) memories is of the time we headed back to Kitchener on a cold January night in his Volkswagen Beetle, with no heat! That was a very long cold ride! Whenever we have met up over the years, he would remind me of that and we would have a good laugh. You must all be so proud of Warren’s many accomplishments. He had so many varied interests and significant successes. Keep your memories close, and he will never be far away.

It has been my pleasure to care for Warren at Huronview. Working on the BSO team it gave me typically 1 day a week to spend extra time with him above my normal shift. He loved his kids and family and would rhyme off all their birthdays to me. He kept track of my days off and when my next shift would be. He told me lots of stories about his travels to stories about the Amish, the horses and more. We had lots of laughs and I feel lucky to have met him. “You thay your sorry but your not Sorry !” RIP Warren. Cathy.
