Obituary of Margaret Walters
At Huronlea, Brussels on Saturday, July 04, 2020, Margaret (née Brophy) Walters formerly of Wingham passed away at the age of 97.
Beloved wife of the late John Walters who predeceased her in 1986. Loving mother of Stephen Walters & Bev Karn of Stratford, Mark & Nancy Walters of Strathroy and Mary Ann & Nathan Peel of Bluevale. Cherished grandma of John Walters, Michael Walters, Anne-Marie Walters, Holly & Matt Hanna, Shannon & Rob Schiestel, Tori & Steve Amy, Alexandrea & Andy Gammie, Isaac & Julie Peel, Jacinta & Dan Barsky, Mathias & Ellen Peel, Celeste Peel and Edison Peel. Special great-grandma of Becksen, Wilder and Charli Hanna, Braya Schiestel, Fred Amy, Cohen and Maclin Gammie, Declan and Jasper Peel and Aiden Peel. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by sisters-in-law Norma and Janet Brophy and brother-in-law Bob McKague as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. She is predeceased by her parents Joseph & Mary Ann (née Desmond) Brophy, brothers Jerry, Jack and Desmond Brophy and sisters Mary White (Wilfred), Frances King (George), Patsy Devereaux (Eugene), great-granddaughter Hope Peel, brother-in-law Wilfred Walters (Peggy) and sisters-in-law Mabel MacRae (Ross), Marian Gleason, Dorothy Rotteau (Pete) and Helen McKague.
Due to provincial restrictions, a private visitation and Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Wingham on Wednesday, July 8th, 2020 with interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Teeswater. Please note that wearing a mask or face covering is mandatory while inside the church.
Memorial donations to the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation (funds will be directed towards Geriatric Services) or the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
