My sincere condolence to Pat’s family. I had the privilege of working with Pat when I was a Huron County Police Dispatcher. She was one of the kindest and friendliest persons. We shared many good times and lots of laughs! May God grant her eternal rest.

Special Constable Patricia Fraser was not only the longest serving member of the Wingham Police Service but the only officer to receive a 40 year service award presented by the Women in Law Enforcement organization. She started as a secretary/receptionist in 1977 but her dedication and abilities soon led to her being sworn in as a Special Constable.
She wore her uniform proudly every day and not only looked after all administration duties, but was responsible for processing all Provincial Offences tickets, typing all criminal code informations and search warrants. She was a bylaw enforcement officer, court officer, was called in to guard prisoners, search females and was the first person you met upon entering the office.
Pat was the one constant with the Wingham Police working with (and training) three Police Chiefs and dozens of officers over her 40 plus years.
She was a strong advocate for the Wingham Police Service and small forces in general and became an inspiration for many females entering policing.
Pat was the go to person in the District in regards to administration and office management and it was common knowledge that if you didn’t know you just asked Pat.
It was my privilege to work with Pat for 10 plus years and my thoughts are with her family at this time and want to thank them for her service and sharing her not only with the Town of Wingham but with the Province.
I salute you Special Constable Fraser for a job well done and a career well served.
Jim Dore

I was saddened to learn of Patricia's passing, and I extend my sincere condolences to all of Pat's families. I got to know Pat through two decades of work: she at WPS and me at the Crown Attorney's office. Pat was always there for us in the Crown's office when we'd call with a rush request for something, and she was always !! pleasant when responding. Her smile and chuckle will be missed by so many. Rest in Peace dear Pat. Sincerely Virginia (Gini) Caesar

I have manny fond memories of Patricia during her time with the Wingham Police Service. I was so thankful of her skills and abilities in the different duties she was asked to do over my time with Wingham. Pat made my job easier with all necessary reports, forums and files completed in a professional way. No matter what request we asked of Pat, children, female prisoners searches and by-law enforcement , it was done quietly and efficiently . I was so surprised and shocked to hear of Pat's passing and send my thoughts and condolences to members of her family. Retired Chief Robert Wittig
