At Wingham & District Hospital on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, Bruce Skillen of Wingham passed away at the age of 71.
Loving dad of Adam & Rachel Skillen and Kerrie Skillen. Cherished step-dad of Kelly & Ryan Greig and Chris Stevenson & Julia Barlow. Proud and devoted Papa to Tanner Stevenson, Ethan Skillen, Alexis and Hunter Greig and Kaysia, Chase and Kolden Stevenson. Dear brother of Bonnie & Bill Brown, Linda Bennett, Heather & Rod Leigh, Lois & Bill Kelly and Tom Skillen. Bruce will be dearly missed by his partners in life, Dale Taylor, Sue Skillen and Kaytlyn Creutzberg, his extended family, many close friends near and far and his feline companions, Jackie and Jazz. He is predeceased by his parents Kenneth & Irene (née Lariviere) Skillen, brother Gary Skillen and niece Andrea Skillen.
Bruce was a positive light in this world. He was kind, caring, thoughtful and generous with his time and talents. Bruce was always playful and young at heart – he loved to laugh and make people’s day. He was a great friend to people of all ages in the communities where he lived and worked. His presence will be missed at the arenas where he worked and cheered on his grandkids and their teammates.
