Obituary of Laura (Collar) Boyes

Laura Maude (Collar) Boyes went to be with her Lord and Saviour on January 2nd, 2020 at St. Mary’s Care Home, Burgess Hill, West Sussex, England in her 97th year. Laura was born in Wingham, Ontario to parents Herbert and Helena (Horne) Collar on July 25, 1923.  She is predeceased by her dear husband, John Terrell Boyes, whom she married in 1977. Also her brothers, Frank Collar, Reginald Collar and sister Betty Young.   

Left to mourn her passing are her sister-in-law, Elinor Neil of Wingham, her nephews, Don Collar and Paul Young and her nieces, Audrey MacDonald and Marilyn Robb and their families.

Laura graduated from London Bible College in 1944 and faithfully served as a missionary with Sudan Interior Mission in Nigeria from 1948 to 1962. From 1963 to 1984 she served among Israel’s Arab Community with L’Arabian Fellowship.
