Obituary of Ada Taylor

At Braemar Nursing Home on Friday, November 09, 2018, Mrs. Ada Taylor formerly of Belgrave, at the age of 92.

The former Ada Dow, beloved wife of Ross Taylor who predeceased her on July 22, 2018. Dear mother of Muriel Taylor of Belgrave and Eric & Mona Taylor of Sudbury. Loving grandmother to Nicholas and Benjamin Taylor. Sister of Ivan & Elly Dow and sister-in-law of Doreen & Bill Taylor.

Predeceased by her brothers Victor, Nelson and Donald Dow (Gloria), sister Eva Snell (Jasper) and sister-in-law Eleanor Dane (Edgar).

Ada was a school teacher for 10 years. She taught in Colborne, Ashfield, Morris, SS #13 East Wawanosh and Belgrave Schools. She was a lifelong member of the Belgrave Women’s Institute and helped created the East Wawanosh Centennial History book in 1967. Ada will be remembered for lemon sponge pie and will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at McBurney Funeral Home on Tuesday from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm. Pastor Brian Hymers officiating. Interment will take place at Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave.

Memorial donations to the Knox United Church, Belgrave or Wingham & District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
