To the McGEE family. I work at McGavin Farm Equipment in Walton. Jim was one of my favourite customers. He would always have a smile on his face no matter what the situation was and could always have a bit of a chat whenever he was in. My condolences to the family, that smiling face will be missed. We are so sorry to hear about Jim’s death!! You must all be devastated! I had a wonderful conversation with Jim about 10 years ago at one of the Dow funerals. It was the first time I had spoken with him since we were kids, and I was so impressed with what a genuine, charming man he’d become. We spoke of family and how much it means. I first met Jim in high school. We went to the same College although he was a year my senior. He was on our college hockey team which I was proud to be a member of. So many great memories.
As Julie says on Facebook, Jim was the real deal. A terrific human being.
I am proud to call Jim my friend; he always called me Max -- my Dad's name, but I loved the nickname bestowed upon me by Jim McGee, Timber Jim.

Rob,Lindsay and all the Mcgee family. We are so sorry to hear about Jim's passing. I did not know him very well but heard nothing but great things and how much his family meant to him.
