Obituary of Margaret Helen Wood

Passed away peacefully at Fordwich Village Nursing Home, on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, Margaret Helen Wood, age 88 years, of Howick Township. Survived by son Kirk Wood of R.R.#1, Clifford, daughter Kaye Wood and her husband Don Schieck of R.R.#1, Arkona, sisters Elsie Karges and her husband Oliver of Listowel, Reita Markovich and her husband John of Edmonton, sister-in-law Ruth Harding of Fordwich and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Robert Orville Wood (1987), infant son Barry (1956), parents Norman and Janet (Doubledee) Harding, sister Jean Wilson, brother Elmer Harding, brothers-in-law Cecil Wilson and Earl Toner and sister-in-law Mabel Toner. Other than the year spent attending Stratford Teachers' College, Margaret lived all her life in Howick Township. She enjoyed church activities, gardening, sewing, travelling and more recently lots of reading, having completed numerous books in the past year and a half. Visitation at McIntosh United Church 1 County Rd.28, R.R.#2, Mildmay, ON., on Saturday from 12:30 pm until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 pm. Spring interment in Gorrie Cemetery, Howick Township. Memorial donations to McIntosh United Church, Fordwich Village Nursing Home Residents' Council, 3063 Adelaide St. Fordwich, ON, N0G1V0, or Heart & Stroke would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
