Obituary of John Anthony Cafik

At Wingham & District Hospital on Sunday, December 18, 2011, Mr. John Cafik of Wroxeter, age 85 years. Beloved husband of Lois (Truax) for 63 years. Loving father of Stephen and Rosemary Cafik, Thomas Cafik, Margaret and Daniel Roushorne, Mary and Michael Geczy and Nancy and Derek Cleary. Dear grandfather of 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Brother of Norm, Bert and Ray Cafik. Predeceased by his daughters Susan and Victoria and his brother Lou and sister Marian. John was a proud veteran of WWII. He started his career as a milkman during the days of the horse and wagon. Although he always referred to himself as just the milkman he had many achievements throughout his career including becoming the branch manager, regional manager and national accounts manager of Silverwood Dairy. John was a devoted faith filled man who was committed to serving the Lord. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Brussels on Wednesday at 11:00 am. Father K.P. Morrison officiating. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel, Ontario. Memorial donations to St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Brussels would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
