At her residence on Monday, March 31, 2014, Helen Underwood of R.R. # 1, Wingham, age 88 years. The former Helen Lear, beloved wife of 60 years of George Underwood. Dear mother of Susan Underwood and Ken Fowler of Stratford, Nelson Underwood of R.R. # 1, Wingham, John and Susan Underwood of R.R. # 1, Wingham, Kathy Underwood and Beth Anne Currie of Owen Sound and Aileen (Ene) Underwood of Toronto. Dear grandmother of Kate, Maitland, Matthew, Ben and Alison Underwood, Andrea (A.J.) and Victoria (Tori) Adams and Brandon (Zion) Alberga. Sister of June Crawford of Burlington, Harry and Gail Lear of Londesborough, and Jean MacDonald of Toronto. Remembered by Garry Adams of Owen Sound. Dear friend of Mary Eadie and Helen McKague. Predeceased by her parents Nelson and Olive (McVittie) Lear, sister Doris Lear, sister-in-law Aileen Lewis, brother-in-law Stan Crawford and daughter-in-law Amber Underwood. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Thursday, 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at Wingham United Church on Friday at 2:00 pm. Reverend Richard D. Hall officiating.
