Obituary of Margaret Jean Mathers

At Wingham & District Hospital on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, Jean Mathers of Huronlea, Brussels, formerly of Bluevale, age 93 years. The former Jean Elliott, beloved wife of the late Charles Mathers who predeceased her in 1980. Cherished mother of Grace and Bill Campbell and Ruth and George Townsend of Seaforth, Rae and Rosemary Mathers of Goderich and Ken and Pat Mathers of Wingham. Mother-in-law of Judy (Bill) Dunnell. Lovingly remembered by eleven grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren. Predeceased by parents James and Margaret (Wightman) Elliott, son Robert (1997), grandson Mark (1995), brother Harold (Muriel) Elliott and brother-in-law Mel (Janet) Mathers. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home Ltd., Wingham, Ontario on Sunday, 1:30-4:30 & 7:00-9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at Wingham United Church on Monday at 11:30 am, Reverend Richard D. Hall officiating. Interment in Wingham Cemetery, Wingham, Ontario. Memorial donations to Bluevale United Church or Huronlea Residents Council would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
