Obituary of Elaine Elizabeth Deichert

At Wingham & District Hospital on Thursday, February 20, 2014, Elaine Deichert of Wingham, age 75 years. The former Elaine Grainger, loving wife of Edward Deichert. Proud mother of Rick and Pamela Deichert of Zurich and Ken and Barb Deichert of Georgetown. Special grandma of Tiffany, Nicole, Jason and Julie and step-grandma to Zac and Hannah. Also survived by siblings Mary (Richard) Erb, Helen (Wayne) Horner, Phyllis (Jim) Ramer, Jim (Norma) Grainger, Cathy (Doug) Fawcett and Steve (Karen) Grainger. Sister-in-law of Earl and Phylis Deichert, Dorothy Elligsen, Claire Deichert and Margaret Deichert. Also loved by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Russell and Elizabeth (Snowden) Grainger, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Edith and Harvey Hohner, Laura and Cliff Pepper, Edgar Elligsen and Margaret Deichert. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home Ltd., Wingham, Ontario on Sunday, 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at Wingham United Church on Monday at 11:00 am. Reverend Richard D. Hall officiating. Interment in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Zurich, ON. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation or Wingham & District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
